In order to meet the requirements resulting from the EU GDPR, SAP offers a range of standard archiving objects as well as the SAP ILM application for data archiving and/or deletion.

The new SAP ILM application supports this endeavor by the joint use of SAP archiving objects and SAP ILM. Data can be deleted in a targeted manner from both operational systems and archives. With the locking functions (end of purpose check) also included as standard, SAP offers the tools necessary to comply with the EU GDPR.

Be it by expanding the standard archiving objects or by designing and implementing customer-specific deletion programs.
