Master Data Derivation Tool for SAP FS-SR-DE

Add-on for the fully automated generation and verification of your reporting master data for securities stocks

Automatic Derivation of Reporting Master Data in the SAP Statutory Reporting Module FS-SR-DE

THE CHALLENGE

FS-SR-DE reporting master data must be maintained for German Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) reporting with the securities account - or subledger position indicator. This data is maintained manually and can be pre-defined by pre-assignment per product type. Complete derivation of reporting indicators is not possible in the SAP standard system.

THE SOLUTION

COMPIRICUS has defined a derivation rule based on the SAP tool KEDR. This rule is used in the fully automated derivation of the indicators. It makes it possible to derive all master data relevant to reporting using the position indicator.

Along with the derivations, a program is available for checking all securities in terms of their indicators for the saved derivation. This makes it possible to check the saved indicators for consistency.

THE FUNCTIONS

Once the COMPIRICUS programs are installed, the system automatically derives or pre-assigns reporting indicators in the following programs:

  • Automatic creation of position indicators: reporting master data is automatically derived when the position indicator is created automatically (when a financial transaction is created).
  • Manual creation of the position indicator: reporting master data is manually recorded when the position indicator is manually created. When you access the reporting master data, the indicators are pre-assigned using the derivation and can be changed as needed, for example, changing the asset type to open clause.
  • Manual creation of the reporting data using transaction ISSR_TA_ADMIN: reporting master data is pre-assigned using the derivation and can be changed as needed, for example, changing the asset type to open clause.

OUR APPROACH

You can use the COMPIRICUS derivation rules in the fully automated derivation of reporting master data. This means you spend less time manually entering data and prevent errors during data maintenance, thus ensuring consistent datasets.
